The Journal of Health and Allied Sciences NU (JHASNU) is an open-access peer-reviewed journal committed to publishing high-quality articles in the field of Health Sciences including Medical, Dental, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences. The journal is owned by the Nitte (Deemed to be University) University Enclave, Medical Sciences Complex, Deralakatte, Mangalore 575018 and published by the Scientific Scholar.

Aims & Scope

Journal of Health and Allied SciencesNU is a multi-disciplinary, double-blinded peer-reviewed, Open Access journal. It is affiliated with Nitte (Deemed to be University) located in Mangalore, India. Nitte is a privately run university accredited A+ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India (NAAC) hosting several scientific departments. The journal focuses on publishing ethically cleared original research articles from different specialties related to the advancement of knowledge in health sciences. The journal encourages authors to submit original investigations both from basic and clinical sciences, narrative and systematic reviews, short communications, and case reports. The journal uses Article Processing Charge (APC) model to cover the cost of publication and all content is freely available without charge to the users or institutions. Review articles from authors, who are experts in the field and presenting critical review of the area, identifying current gaps and need for further research as well as case reports on rare conditions that would be of particular interest to healthcare professionals are also published.

The Journal of Health and Allied Sciences NU is committed to meeting and upholding the standards of ethical behavior at all stages of the publication process. Plagiarism Policy

The journal uses plagiarism check software (iThenticate) on the Editor’s and Reviewer’s panel in the manuscript management system which is used to check and control Plagiarism for each article. Any manuscript, that is found to have plagiarism is rejected.

Archival Policy

We use PORTICO for our third-party repository for all articles published with us. All our articles are assigned a DOI number. We are members of https://crossref.org

Ahead of Print Policy

Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Journal of Health and Allied Sciences NU has a policy that changes will not be made after the publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
